| Customer service at DPD terminal |
Customers, willing to receive or send a parcel at DPD Latvija terminal located on Uriekstes street 8a, must follow these regulations:
- If customer is a legal person, representative of the customer must have a power of attorney containing his name and the purpose of document – receiving or sending a parcel using SIA “DPD Latvija” services. In case customer’s representative does not have the power of attorney, services will not be provided.
- If customer is a private person, before receiving or sending a parcel he must provide a valid ID. In case private person authorizes a third person, power of attorney must be notarized.
| Ordering a shipment pick-up, CLIENT has to name: |
Full name.
Address of pick-up. To make it easier for courier to find and reach the address, CLIENT has to name block number, flor, office or department and door lock code.
A contact person's name and surname at the pick-up address.
Number of parcels and approximate weight.
The date and time of pick-up (time from.. till.. Minimal interval 2 hours).
Other important information about the parcel (if needed additional insurance, proof of delivery, non standard unit etc.).
Pick-up request can be made only by PAYER!

Standard shipment pick-up
|
1. Courier collects the shipment at the place, indicated by CLIENT:
In Riga, during working day until 20:00 p.m.;
In Jekabpils, Daugavpils, Rezekne, Saldus, Liepaja, Talsi, Ventspils, Valmiera, Cesis, Gulbene during working days until 17:00 p.m.;
In any other place in Latvia, during working day until 14:00 p.m..
The shipment should be totally prepared at the moment of pick-up.
Shipment should be packed properly, so the content won’t get damaged during transportation, and so that the content couldn’t get damaget without the packing being damaged. The content should not be able to move inside the package.
The special caution parcels should be marked properly.
The accompanying documents should be filled in, according to instructions in enclosure. For the clients, who use letters of guarantee – label will be provided by courier. If some corrections need to be done on the accompanying documents, they should be approved with signature.
2. At the time of pick-uo, client should not keep courier waiting without reason. Otherwise he will have to pay the downtime expences according to service price list or enclosure of agreement.
3. Price for delivery services is calculated according to weight, fixed by company’s weighing machine, and postal index, indicated on the shipment.
4. For shipments with weight over 31.5 kg, loading and unloading is ensured by sender, with participation of courier.
5. Courier can refuse to take shipment in case of:
Shipment does not match standard parameters, not marked or packing does not look safe enough for transportation.
The actual unit quantity does not match the quantity given in accompanying documents.
Accompanying documents not filled in properly.
6. In case if courier comes to agreement with sender and takes the cumbersome or not properly packed shipment, remark is made in accompanying documents and on the shipment. In this case SIA DPD Latvija does not take the responsibility for maintenance of shipment during transportation and on time delivery. Agreement on accepting and delivering each cumbersome shipment is reached individually with every client.
7. Not acceptable for shipping:
Objects or substances, which by it's nature or packing could be dangerous for employees, grease or damage other shipments or equipment,
Narcotic drugs and psychotrophic substances, as well as guns, explosives, combustible or any other dangerous substances,
Cigarette, alcohol and other excise goods beyond the amount, prescribed by legislation,
Any objects by content, form or transportation contradicting with existing legislation and normative acts,
Animals, animal or human parts or organs, biological or medical test materials,
Perishable goods and goods requiring special temperature regime,
Money (any currency), cheques, securities, certificates ect.,
Jewellery, precious metal, antique objects, works of art,
Clocks, carpets, furriery and other leather products, with value exceeding 520,- EUR per unit,
Other goods with value exceeding 13 000,- EUR
8. Content of the shipment is CLIENT’S responsibility. If any of earlier mentioned substances or objects are established in the shipment, SIA DPD Latvija is authorised, in order determined by legislation, to take action or to return shipment back to sender. CLIENT compensates losses due to situation in 3 working days, according to invoice sent by SIA DPD Latvija.

Standard shipment delivery
|
1. Shipment is delivered to the address indicated in accompanying paper.
Shipment is handed to:
Physical entity – only to person mentioned in accompanying paper or to the person, that can show reciever’s identification document (in the original).
Legal person – to contact person, mentioned in accompanying paper or any other reciever’s representative (secretary, administrator ect.), filling in POD
(see paragraph Nr. 6)
2. Unload of parcel with weight exceeding 31.5 kg is ensured by reciever, with participation of courier.
3. Reciever, recieving the shipment, should not keep courier waiting without reason. Otherwise he will have to pay the downtime expences according to service price list or enclosure of agreement.
4. In case if shipment is damaged or any item is missing, reciever should note it in POD and write a statement in duplicate, signed by reciever and courier. One copy of statement should be given to courier.
5. Courier doesn’t have to check the content of shipment according to invoice or other attached documents, and doesn’t have to wait for reciever to commit the check.
6. Shipment is considered to be delivered when reciever has filled in (legibly written Name, Surname, Date, Time and Signature) and stamped ( if reciever is a legal person) shipment’s POD. If reciever refuses to give earlier mentioned information, shipment will not be handed out.
7. In case if reciever refuses to recieve shipment, courier makes a note on POD about the reasons of refusal.
8. Undelivered shipment is transported back to the warehouse, client is informed about it.
Invoice and other document return: If you wish your invoices’ copies (signed by reciever) to be returned:
Place it into polyethylene map or envelope;
Attach it to the pack and make sure that information on the pack is readable (see pic.2)
If documents will be placed inside the pack or reciever will not give them to courier, we won’t be able to insure signed copy return to You. Correspondant notice will be made on POD.
Special delivery terms: same day till 18:00 p.m., next day till 12:00 a.m. or on Saturday.
If You wish your shipment to be delivered in time, suitable for You, according to existing DPD pricelist: place previosly recieved special labels on each unit of shipment in a well-observable spot, or write – delivery till 18:00 p.m., delivery till 12:00 a.m. or on Saturday.
You will recive invoices for delivery of shipments, marked with Your company’s accompanying documents. If you are using same packaging for several times, please make sure there are NO OLD ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTS or any other information from the previous shipment on the parcel. It will help to avoid any problem with shipment delivery. Further, please, get acquainted with execution of accompanying documents.
